5 Things My Cats Can’t Live Without

Ah, the feline kingdom and their high demands! According to my furry masters, here are the five things they simply cannot live without, according to their very own meows and purrs.

First up, we have their food. Cats are notoriously picky eaters (excluding our Tabby Teddy!), but when it comes to sustenance, they have two main loves: wet food and dry biscuits. It’s like a culinary adventure for them, with each meal being a chance to savour different textures and flavours. And let’s not forget the occasional treat that adds an extra touch of excitement to their dining experience.

Next on the list is playtime. Cats are natural-born hunters, even if their prey consists of feathers attached to a string or laser dots on the wall. Engaging in play helps keep them physically active and mentally stimulated. Plus, it gives us humans endless entertainment as we watch them pounce and chase imaginary foes. Mine could not live without their catnip. Which is like a magical elixir that sends my furry friends into a state of pure bliss. It’s like a vacation in a bottle for them (minus the tiny umbrellas). Watching your cat go wild with excitement as they roll around in a pile of nip-infused goodness is pure entertainment for us mere mortals.

Of course, no cat can resist a cozy spot for lounging around. Whether it’s a plush bed or simply claiming your favourite jumper as their own personal throne (we’ve all been there), cats crave comfort like nobody’s business. Just be prepared for some gentle pawing if you try to disturb their well-deserved naptime.

Now let’s talk about scratching posts or pads – those magical inventions that save our furniture from becoming shredded masterpieces of feline artistry. Cats need an outlet for their natural urge to scratch and stretch those claws of theirs. So, give them something sturdy and satisfyingly scratchable, and they’ll thank you by sparing your sofa from further destruction.

Last but certainly not least is affectionate attention. Yes, despite their independent nature, cats absolutely crave love and affection from their human companions or slave (even if they pretend otherwise). From chin scratches to belly rubs (if you dare), showering your furry friend with affection strengthens the bond between you two and makes for some heartwarming moments.
